The Quarterbridge is the first slow corner on the course. This doesn't mean the riders get a break however, as they'll be approaching with cold tyres and a full tank of fuel. Full concentration is required for this slow right hander. The Quarterbridge is home to the Quarterbridge pub, which is often packed on race days with fans watching the bikes from either track side or on the roof of the pub. This pub isn't the only place to watch at the Quarterbridge however, a grass area has been dug out to make comfy seats, and hot beverages are served on race days. Along with all the local spectators, the Quarterbridge is a common spectating area for visitors who have just arrived via boat, given the corners close proximity with both the town center and boat port. Given the slow speed and possibility of multiple racing lines, the Quarterbridge can be a great place to find overtaking action further into the race. There are several conveniences nearby, with a petrol station, car park and McDonalds within 250 meters.
